Design Philosophy

Light tailored to your environment.

A commission is a collaborative dialogue between the space, the client, and the craft. We study how natural light shifts through your room across the day, selecting glass textures and colors that respond dynamically to those changes.

Whether framing a doorway, screening an overlooked window, or creating a standalone focal point, every line of lead is engineered for both structural strength and aesthetic flow.

Our Method

From concept to installation.

01

Consultation & Site Visit

We discuss your vision, evaluate the architectural context, and take precise measurements. If an in-person visit isn't feasible, we coordinate via detailed photographs and architectural plans.

02

Design & Glass Selection

You receive scaled, colored sketches mapping out the composition. Once the design is approved, we finalize the exact palette, selecting sheets of mouth-blown or textured glass from our studio inventory.

03

Fabrication

The meticulous work of cutting, leading, soldering, and cementing takes place in our workspace. Every joint is reinforced, ensuring the panel is robust enough to withstand decades of use.

04

Fitting & Delivery

Completed panels are either securely packed for specialized transport or installed directly by our team into your existing window frames or dedicated structural casements.

Pricing Variables

Bespoke glasswork is priced based on complexity rather than simple square footage. A small, highly detailed panel with dozens of complex cuts will require more time than a large panel with simple geometric lines.

  • Density of lead lines
  • Rarity of glass selected
  • Painted or kiln-fired elements
  • Installation requirements

Typical Timelines

From initial deposit to final completion, a standard residential commission requires between 8 to 12 weeks. Larger installations may extend to 6 months.

Applications

Where glass meets architecture.

We create pieces for a variety of structural contexts, ensuring each panel is built with the appropriate reinforcement bars and edge treatments for its intended location.
